Our mission is to create ethical and inclusive AI systems that enhance human abilities and assist humans, rather than replace them.
We aim to ensure that rapidly advancing AI technologies positively impact human lives, fulfill social responsibilities, and address the diverse needs of users.
To achieve this, we focus our research on three key areas:
• Customer-Facing AI - We aim to advance customer-facing AI systems that seamlessly integrate human-centered design, real-world sensing, and adaptive decision-making, enabling personalized, intuitive, and scalable support across diverse user contexts.
• Future-of-Work AI - We aim to reimagine the future of work by developing AI systems that enhance human creativity, collaboration, and decision-making across design, education, and multi-agent environments.
• Responsible AI - We aim to build responsible AI systems that are socially aware, emotionally intelligent, and aligned with human values—by uncovering biases, supporting self-reflection, and enhancing real-world communication.
SNU-CMU Human-Centered AI Research Center is located on the campus of Seoul National University. Our offices are in Room 209, Building 942, located at 1 Gwanak-ro, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea, 08826.
